Our Mission

Source Summit aims to bridge the US and Latin America, by bringing to the forefront the important and universal topics of health and well-being. By holding our inaugural Summit in Mexico City, we’re excited to join two neighbor nations in this mission.

While topics will be wide-ranging, they all fall within the Source Summit mission: to create a focused, but wide ranging conversation regarding personal well-being and health. We aim to inspire, connect, and learn while embracing the notion that personal well-being and health have no borders.

The Team

Gabriela Serna

Gabriela Serna is the CEO and co-founder of The Source Summit, a platform which hosts impactful conversations regarding the worlds of health and wellness. Gabriela recognized a need to introduce women in Latin America to new ideas and concepts that support their well-being and personal health. She is committed to delivering on her promise to create an open forum, where attendees can connect with themselves and learn from one another.

The Source Summit is the culmination of Gabriela’s own life experiences. A Mexican born entrepreneur with a background in the arts and media, Gabriela began her career as a graphic designer in Mexico City and New York, where she became involved with the Guggenheim Museum, partnering with them to create the educational non-profit Learning Through Art in Mexico City, a non-profit which helps students learn to read and write through the arts. In 2000, she founded the public relations firm, New Ground Partners, which caters to luxury brands in America and Mexico.

Gabriela hopes that in creating an intimate platform where trailblazers from all areas of wellness and personal well-being can come together and share their experiences, guests can connect with one another, the speakers, and uncover their own uniqueness.

Doris Dorenbaum

With her extensive communications background, Doris has more than twenty years of experience working in US and Mexico based private and public companies. Her areas of expertise include social media, public relations, and marketing.

She is partner of Nine Muses, a global media and merchandise platform that believes “what is good for women, is good for the world".

Doris is thrilled to join Gaby and Kate as one of The Source Summit’s founding members. The ability to create, teach, inspire and grow has always been her wellness mission.

Kate Berg

An Los Angeles native, Kate spent her early professional life working in fashion in NYC for Diane Von Furstenberg in both sales and marketing roles. In 2012, Kate returned home to Los Angeles where she launched her own business, Showroom Sixfifteen, running global sales for emerging fashion designers.

She ultimately transitioned to a career in health and wellness, first as an early employee at Thrive Market, an online market and content platform selling organic and non-GMO products for significantly below retail costs. At Thrive, Kate helped create the Business Development team, building partnerships and creating new marketing opportunities.

She left to focus on consulting for smaller health and wellness brands and after an intro to Gaby, Kate immediately wanted to partner and began working with Gaby and Doris to build what is now Source Summit. Kate founded the tabletop textile company, Table Threads, a direct to consumer collection of mix and match, luxe, yet affordable tabletop decor. Kate also created the UCLA Lab Party, an annual fundraiser to usher in next generation support for UCLA’s Department of Neurosurgery.

Attending my first Source Summit event I was quite surprised by the warm welcome we received from the people that attended. I have never been to Mexico City, but attending this event caused me to think why not. The event was so much fun and a great break from Los Angeles. I would highly recommend those considering attending to grab your seat NOW. Nothing like meeting good like minded good people. Thank you The Source Summit for creating this event and special thanks for the Camelo Foundation and Icycle for participating in the Source Summit event.
ICYCLE collaborated with the Source Summit on May 22nd 2017 to create the first ever fitness event to majorly break borders between the US and Mexico. It allowed our community to experience and be part of Angela Davis´s incredible class experience. We have created a new relationship that allows for a new kind of event in our county, we look forward to work with them again in the near future.
